Congratulations to Emily Buckeridge and Patrick Garrett, who both received first-class honours in their RICS-accredited Building Surveying degrees from the University of the West of England (UWE).
Continuing a long tradition of Easton Bevins’ team members completing the RICS-accredited Building Surveying degree at UWE, recent graduates Emily Buckeridge and Patrick Garrett have both received first-class honours.
Our warmest congratulations to both, who now join the Bristol office as permanent team members. Both are already registered for their APCs (Assessment of Professional Competence) and will continue their journey with us towards becoming chartered surveyors.
Emily and Patrick joined Easton Bevins two years ago as industry placement students after completing their first two years of study at UWE. It was clear they were extremely bright and capable – top-class surveyors of the future – and we ensured they were fully supported and given plenty of exposure to the varying aspects of surveying throughout.
Nurturing talented students and developing a strong relationship with UWE has been high on our agenda for years, and we have always placed great emphasis on supporting staff training and development. Ultimately, we believe that if we invest in our staff – whether permanent or on placement – they’ll thrive in their work and flourish in their careers.
In their final year of study, Emily and Patrick continued to work with us two days a week, so highest praise to them for juggling the demands of professional life and higher education. To come out with first-class degrees is impressive. We’re incredibly proud, and look forward to supporting both in their careers and on their path to becoming chartered surveyors.”
Following Emily and Patrick’s outstanding achievement, we’re looking forward to welcoming a new placement student next week, while a further two will be returning to UWE to complete their degrees.
Bristol-based Associate Director Ben Hayler commented, “In their final year of study, Emily and Patrick continued to work with us two days a week, so highest praise to them for juggling the demands of professional life and higher education. To come out with first-class degrees is impressive. We’re incredibly proud, and look forward to supporting both in their careers and on their path to becoming chartered surveyors.”
