Former telephone repeater station - Case Study

Project:

Six new dwellings at a former telephone repeater station site

Location:

Shaftesbury Drove, Salisbury, SP2

In Brief:

The project involved the demolition and removal of a disused 1930’s-built telephone repeater station and replacement with six new dwellings.

The dwellings, comprising two 4-bedroom executive style homes and four 3-bedroom townhouses in semi-detached pairs, have been designed with traditional detailing complimenting the local architecture, each with subtle variations to add a sense of visual interest and independence.

The project presented a number of technical challenges, including a method for covering over a large existing basement and retention/upgrading a sizeable retaining wall. Easton Bevins worked closely with the design and procurement teams to ensure a successful outcome.
